CMCA is pleased to present our 2026 Summer Tour series, led by Curator Grant Wahlquist and Director of Education Rori Smith. Join us in the galleries for a guided conversation through CMCA’s four summer exhibitions by Bianca Beck, Will Sears, Marc Swanson, and Abbey Williams. The dates of all of our 2026 Summer Tours follow below. Please note that some tours are themed. We look forward to sharing contemporary art with you in the galleries! As always, CMCA public programs are free.

• Sunday, June 28, 1 pm | “How to Look at Contemporary Art”: A tour of all four of CMCA’s summer exhibitions led by Grant Wahlquist and Rori Smith that is also an introduction to contemporary art — what it is, how we might approach it, and the many ways it invites looking, questioning, and interpretation. Take this chance to engage more deeply with CMCA’s summer exhibitions and consider the broader questions that contemporary art asks of us.

• Friday, July 10, 5 pm: An open format tour of all four of CMCA’s summer exhibitions with Rori Smith in conjunction with Rockland’s First Friday Art Walk.

• Sunday, July 19, 1 pm | All Ages Tour for Families with Children: Join Rori Smith in the galleries for a guided conversation through CMCA’s four summer exhibitions. Rori will invite visitors of all ages to engage more deeply with the work on view, encouraging close looking and connection.
