The figure has been represented throughout art history as a way for artists to understand the human experience and condition. Anne Buckwalter, Ransome, and Reggie Burrows Hodges all depict the figure in their works in one way or another. We will end our webinar by creating a dynamic piece that embodies the abstract representation of movement using oil pastels. Thinking about a memory from an activity of our choice, we will create a large drawing that focuses on color, the figure in motion, and memory.
