Monday, July 6th | 5:30 pm | Free + in-person
Join us for an artist talk with Anoushka Mirchandani, the Sherman Family Foundation’s 2026 artist in residence, in conversation with CMCA Curator Grant Wahlquist.
Now in its third year, the Sherman Family Foundation Residency, presented in partnership with the Baltimore Museum of Art, brings artists to Maine for a summer period of focused research, experimentation, and creative development. Mirchandani’s residency follows the opening of her New York institutional solo debut, Everyone You Love Lives Here, on view at The FLAG Art Foundation through July 31.
Born in Pune, India, and based in San Francisco, Mirchandani uses painting as a form of agency: a way of locating and relocating the self across shifting cultural, personal, and emotional contexts.
Presented during Mirchandani’s summer residency in Maine, this conversation offers a chance to hear directly from the artist about her practice, process, and evolving inquiry into identity, place, and transformation.
