Join us for our final webinar of the school year to look at artists who explore material in adventurous ways. Carlie Trosclair paints liquid latex onto various surfaces, lets it dry, and then peels it off to create massive, ghostly sculptures. Kyle Downs gives new life to basketballs to create large tapestries, intricate mini mosaic cards and more. Elizabeth Atterbury uses wood, metal and stone to create works that speak to memory, history and personal narrative. These creatives expand our views of how artists can push the boundaries of material exploration and can inspire us to try it as well.

We will end our session with a project inspired by the work of Kyle Downs. Using recycled or decorative papers and basic paper weaving techniques, we will create colorful paper tapestries.
