About Steel Revolution

Steel Revolution is the after-school steelband program of George Stevens Academy. Combining students from GSA and the Blue Hill Harbor School, Steel Revolution travels the state, teaching workshops, playing concerts and community dances, and spreading the word about this unique musical phenomenon. In the tradition of the original steelbands of Trinidad, Steel Revolution plays an upbeat mix of calypso and soca, pop and rock, with some surprises thrown in! You can’t help but dance!
