About the presenters:

Maine College of Art and Design delivers a transformative learning experience within an intimate and demanding educational environment, preparing students for artistic excellence, creative entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. Located in the heart of the Portland Arts District, Maine College of Art & Design offers a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art, a Master of Arts in Teaching, an Online Master of Arts in Education, an Online Graduate Certificate in Arts Leadership and Administration, an Online Graduate Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy, and a Salt Graduate Certificate in Documentary Studies.

Maine Media College is recognized as one of the world’s leading centers for filmmaking, photography studies, design, writing, and book arts. Our inter-disciplinary certificate and degree programs are intensive, immersive, innovative, and hands-on. You’ll learn by doing, by making films, images, installations and books. You’ll work closely with mentors who are masters in their mediums and forge lifelong ties with a highly supportive community of artists.

University of Maine Graduate Programs in Intermedia (MA & MFA) are interdisciplinary and committed to creative research, experimental investigations, and technological engagement in forms of art such as time-based media, digital and generative art, installation, conceptual art, performance art, community-based social art practices, and other new forms that the students may generate from their own intermedial explorations. The program is grounded in history and theory from music, writing, performance studies, media studies, and the visual arts. The Interdisciplinary PhD allows artist-researchers to map out a custom program of study guided by an advisory committee of their choosing.

The Artist Toolbox is made possible by major support from the Roxanne Quimby Foundation.
