Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) presents its annual “Art You Love” benefit auction, featuring more than forty works of art by leading artists connected to Maine. Proceeds from the auction benefit CMCA’s groundbreaking exhibitions and extensive free or sliding scale education programs for children and adults. The sale of these works generously donated by the artists accounts for 15% of our operating income and has a profound impact on what we can accomplish.

CMCA has the bold ambition of being the most adventurous venue for contemporary art in the state of Maine. CMCA was founded by artists in 1952 and still advocates for artists and their work, presenting exhibitions and programs for all ages that advance understanding and awareness of the art of our time, while providing space for creativity and community.

Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will close in stages beginning at 12pm EST on Thursday February 26.

The countdown timer on the artwork pages will display the end time for the lot. Lots close in one minute increments and will be reset to two minutes if a bid is placed within the two minutes before the lot's scheduled closing time. For further information please see our FAQ

Each work ships from a different location, as noted on the individual lot page. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be determined on an individual basis. CMCA staff will coordinate communications between buyers and the artists to facilitate shipment and/or pickup.
