Our hands-on education program offers year-round classes and workshops for all ages.

All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up.

ArtLab

The ArtLab philosophy places value on creative process and learning to think and respond with imagination, vision, and expression in an environment in which students have the opportunity to work with new materials, to discover, to invent, and, above all, to have fun!

ArtLab for All Ages workshops are held on the first Saturday of every month, year-round, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. All materials are provided, everyone is welcome, and all workshops are drop-in and free of charge. This program is rooted in inclusiveness and exploration; collaboration and experimentation with materials is encouraged.

ArtLab for Kids includes Summer ArtCamps, afterschool programs, and school vacation week workshops for kids 6 to 10 years old. Download 2014 Summer ArtCamp registration form.

ArtLab for Teens emphasize a more concentrated focus on concepts and techniques for kids 11 to 15 years old. Teens explore their own creativity and sense of style while discovering art in a studio setting and in the CMCA galleries. Download 2014 Summer ArtCamp registration form.

ArtLab for Adults encourages both beginners and experienced artists to approach art making from a new perspective. Workshops emphasize sparking creativity and thinking outside the box.

ArtLab instructors are at once educators and artists. Our philosophy places value on creative process and learning to think and respond with imagination, vision, and expression. We provide an environment in which students have the opportunity to work with new materials, to discover, to invent, and, above all, to have fun!
