Winner of the Juror's Prize: Shannon Rankin of Rangely, Maine, for her installation, Falls. Juror Dennis Pinette said, "Shannon constructs a convincing, deeply playful logic based on a formal understanding of pattern and geometry. Beyond the formal, her instincts propel her art to that rare zone of originality where unique abstract language is clearly defined."

Since 1970, CMCA has held a juried exhibition, which is open to artists working in all media who were born in, have studied in, or are year round/seasonal residents of Maine. Works are original in concept and design and were created within the past two years. This year works by 41 artists were chosen from among 654 entries.
