ArtLab Studio: After-School Workshop for Children

Artist/instructor Marcie Jan Bronstein will lead six Wednesday afternoon sessions of mixed-media fun and exploration in October and November for children wo are in kindergarden through fifth grade. The ArtLab Studio is a class designed in the spirit of a real working art studio, where playfulness and experimentation are key ingredients.

Dates are October 3, 10, 17, and 24 and November 7 and 14, from 1:45 to 3:00 pm. Cost is $10 a session (scholarships are available), and you can sign up for any number of sessions. To register, call 207.236.2875. Sign up early; maximum 8 students.

Note: Camden Rockport Elementary students can take Bus #11.

About the Instructor
The workshop will be taught by Marcie Jan Bronstein, who is an artist, a designer, and a teacher with a special interest in collaborating with children. Marcie is known for her hand-colored images and work with the photographic negative; her art is exhibited, published, commissioned, and collected internationally. Fotoplay!, Marcie’s unique prompt book for children, was published in 2012.
